Am I obligated to take long-term assignments?
Our employees are free to choose which assignments to accept. We carefully match our caregivers to assignments not only based on the client’s needs, but also the needs and experience of the caregiver, to establish a good work culture fit. We do strongly encourage you to be honest in applying for a career as we use your likes and dislikes and experience level to properly and carefully match you to a client. If you are asked to take an assignment offering longer hours, we encourage you to consider it first before turning it down, as we cannot guarantee another one will be immediately available.
Once I am hired, what is the time frame to be placed on an assignment?
Once you are hired, you will complete your onboarding documents, along with background check, drug screening, orientation, and training. Once we find the perfect match, you will be offered the position.
When will I get paid?
You will be paid bi-weekly.
How will I get paid?
We only do Direct Deposit via Bank account or check card. You will have complete access to make changes online related to dependents, printing paystubs, and banking information.
What happens when my assignment ends?
Once your assignment ends, your relationship with us certainly will not. Our staffing coordinator will contact you prior to the end date of your current assignment to explore your options. We won’t leave you hanging! It is our goal to keep you here with us as we value our employees here at Our Hearts Home Care & Staffing.
Where do you staff Companions/Homemakers/HHA/CNA?
We staff all over Hillsborough and Manatee Counties located in the sunny state of Florida.
Do you have other positions besides caregivers?
Currently, we only employ companions, homemakers, home health aides, and certified nursing assistants. We do occasional offer jobs outside of the health care associates such as in business, administration, customer services, management, and marketing.
Will I receive reimbursement for travel?
Yes, you will receive reimbursement for travel if it is related to using your own vehicle for errands.
What kind of background check do you do at Our Hearts Home Care & Staffing?
Our Hearts Home Care & Staffing conducts a Level II FDLE Live Scan and local law-enforced background check in your county.
Does Our Hearts Home Care & Staffing drug test?
Yes, upon hiring, and if we suspect suspicious behaviors. We must protect our clients from harm and neglect as they are trusting us in their home, space, and lives. It is our duty to properly screen our employees as we are a drug-free employer.
Do I get paid time and a half on holidays?
Yes, Our Hearts Home Care & Staffing offer time and a half on holidays.
What is Our Hearts Home Care & Staffing dress code?
Upon the client’s request, our staff may wear casual clothing, but our general company policy requires company-provided polo and slacks/pants or a medical scrub with closed toe shoes.
Do I have to be a Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant to work for Our Hearts Home Care & Staffing?
No, you do not have to be a licensed HHA or CNA to be a caregiver at Our Hearts Home Care & Staffing.
